Hello: My name is Scott Robertson.. I've been gigging out for 30 years and teaching for 25. I love teaching the guitar...It's supposed to be fun and I try very hard to keep it that way. I started playing guitar back in the late 60's. I was inspired by  friends who turned me on to local and famous guitar players of the day.  I've always tried not to limit myself in the styles I wanted to learn. I enjoy Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Billy Gibbons, Jimmy Page, David Gilmoure, Steve Vai, Roy Clark, Brad Paisley and many many others. I was not in to learning how to read music. I wanted to play and play it the right way. With all the proper techniques and phrasing.

So, early on, I developed "my ear" for really capturing the essence of what the guitarist was saying with their style. At the age of 52, I still don't read one note of music. I simply listen to a song, and learn it the way the originator layed it out for all of us to enjoy.  You can hear me playing a bit under the tab of "my playing samples".  For the last 30 years  I've been the lead guitarist in a band, sometimes two bands at a time. I must be doing it right.
